Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SetURent, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use SetURent for a business or on behalf of others, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

SetURent is web software that helps landlords manage properties, tenants, rent and water bills, payments, reminders, rent agreements, and documents. We improve the service over time and may change or retire features. We will try to give notice of changes that materially affect you.

• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
• Keep your login private. Each login belongs to one person.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, including by team members you invite.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone has used your account without permission.

• New accounts start with a free trial of 14 days. No card is needed to start it.
• After the trial, continued use needs a paid plan. Plans, add-ons, and prices are listed on the Pricing page. A price change applies from your next renewal.
• Payments are handled by Razorpay and charged in Indian rupees. Paid plans renew each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings, Billing. Cancelling stops future renewals, and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refunded. If you think you were charged in error, write to us and we will look into it.
• If a trial or paid period ends without payment, creating and changing records is paused until you subscribe. Your data is not deleted the moment that happens.

You own the data you put into SetURent. You allow us to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you upload and for having the right to store your tenants' information, including identity documents.

Please do not:

• use SetURent to break the law or to store data you have no right to hold;
• try to access another account, or probe or disrupt the service;
• upload malicious files or send abusive, misleading, or unsolicited messages through reminders;
• copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service.

Messages sent through your own gateway must follow the laws that apply to them, including consent and telecom rules in India.

Reminders go out through messaging services that you connect. We do not operate them, we cannot guarantee delivery, and we are not responsible for their fees, outages, or content policies. Preview and test your messages before going live.

SetURent helps you keep records and produce bills and receipts. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for the rent and charges you bill, for the tax and legal compliance of your rental business, and for your agreements with tenants. SetURent is not legal, tax, or accounting advice.

We work to keep SetURent available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Please keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

You can stop using SetURent at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, do not pay, or put the service or other users at risk. To have your data deleted, follow the steps in the Privacy Policy.

To the extent the law allows, SetURent is provided as is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Using SetURent after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have.
